Hunting a Cat in Dogtown: Exciting Twisty Sequel to Killer Dead, Victim Alive

You need to find out what’s next!

I’m pleased to announce my new novel — Hunting a Cat in Dogtown — which is the sequel to the popular psychological thriller Killer Dead, Victim Alive.

Both books are part of The Serial Killer Anthology, the first book of which is The Deadly Samaritan, which is a standalone story that may appeal to you.

The Hunting a Cat in Dogtown ebook is currently available for pre-order and is scheduled for official launch in the second half of May. The paperback is available for purchase now.

The new book picks up where the unexpected twists and turns of Killer Dead, Victim Alive’s cliffhanger ending left off: with a startling surprise at Santa Monica Police Lieutenant Greg Nichols’ front door. Similar shocks greet others who were involved in investigating Chrissy Weeks’ potential involvement in the earlier execution of Killer Dead, Victim Alive serial killer Keith Victor.

The deliveries are messages, and may even be threats. But Weeks is in custody. So how could she have managed?

And then Weeks’ jail experience takes an unexpected and difficult-to-comprehend turn, and a well-known screenwriter is found dead on the beach near the Santa Monica Pier – close to where Victor was left just weeks earlier. He’s been shot in the forehead, just like Victor was.

Both situations quickly escalate, and the Santa Monica Police, the FBI, and the Los Angeles Police Department face a new – and eerily similar – case even as their experience with Weeks again defies explanations.

Nichols and his partner, Sergeant Mollie Granger, find themselves dealing with mounting homicides, as well as multiple mysteries that jump from the Dogtown area of Santa Monica and Venice, to Hollywood’s entertainment industry, to the Mexican border – and back.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Or do they?

If you’ve already read Killer Dead, Victim Alive, I invite you to either pre-order the Hunting a Cat in Dogtown ebook now or get the paperback immediately. If you haven’t read it, now would be a good time to get Killer Dead, Victim Alive, pre-order Hunting a Cat in Dogtown, and read the first book while you wait for the sequel’s official launch.

I downloaded a copy of Hunting a Cat in Dogtown and have read about 30%. It is a great follow-up to Killer Dead, Victim Alive. Several new interesting characters appear and Chrissy keeps acting out even though she is in jail.
