David Hines, an attorney and psychological thriller author, is an avid reader of suspense thrillers. He enjoys learning new languages, visiting independent bookstores, and spending time with his wife, son, and dog.

His novels include the small-town suspense thriller, “The Doctor’s Disease,” and the psychological thriller, “You Always Lie” — which I am recommending today.

Check out the blurb.

For fans of Lisa Jewell and Karin Slaughter, “You Always Lie“ is a conspiracy and psychological thriller about betrayal, manipulation, and a teacher running from her past only to find one seriously twisted school.

Jessica Vincent is a liar and a murderer. At least, that’s what people in her hometown think. That’s why she moved over a hundred miles away, taking a new teaching job at Laytonview High School. But on her first day, she finds a hallway covered in blood. The school evacuates, but the police don’t find any blood. Not a single drop.

Jessica is a liar.

Again.

Determined to find the truth, she meets a star student facing a horrific decision and uncovers a conspiracy that threatens their lives. Meanwhile, she grows increasingly suspicious of her new school. Students disappear for days at a time. Other teachers always hole up in their classrooms. They’re hiding something…

But who else is keeping secrets?

And while I have your attention, I want to reintroduce my recently released novella, “Damaged,” which is getting some great reviews and causing readers to tell me the ending blew their minds.

Mine too, as I wrote it.

Give it look. It’s a short, but powerful read. I’m very proud of it. Click on the image to learn more.

Thanks.
